Playing with the Macros lens

Okay had a bit of time today between the hamburgers and watermelon and decided to slap on the macros lens and see how the heck it works.......or see how good or bad i can make it work......here are a few i was able to get to look alright....I have never shot with this type of lens before so to say the least is was difficult at best

Finally got a chance to head out and play with the camera....these are part of the collection I took today out on the Great South Bay. Thanks for inviting me out for the afternoon Joe....much needed and appreciated

 

This is a Cranberry/black raspberry melomel. it is a fruit juiced based honey wine called a melomel (mead)

 

this is a white pyment...it is a white grape based mead

 

Another one of my favorite pastimes is getting together with friends, family and my son Fred and brewing beer and making wine and mead...this is a photo of a new mead I put together yesterday evening...it is a simple mead called JAOM or Joes Ancient Orange Mead....its a nice simple recipe that dates back over 500 years or so....enjoy
